Cable & Motherland: Stronger Together
We couldn't be prouder to share an update on one of the partnerships closest to our hearts - our ongoing collaboration with Motherland, the national charity dedicated to the emotional wellbeing and connection of rural mothers across Australia.
Now in its third year, our relationship with Motherland continues to grow in meaning and momentum, and last week we had the joy of bringing that partnership to life in a very real way by sponsoring their conference in Toowoomba, Queensland.

About Motherland
Founded by Stephanie Trethewey, Motherland exists to eliminate the isolation that so many rural mums experience every day. Through a supportive online community, a mothers group program available to women with children up to age 18 (no matter where they're located), a weekly podcast sharing real stories from real women on the land, and annual events both local and national, Motherland is building something genuinely powerful for rural Australia.
As a female-founded brand with deep roots in knitwear crafted from the finest 100% Australian merino wool, aligning with a charity that champions women on the land feels not just right - it feels like home.

A Morning to Remember in Toowoomba
Last week, we welcomed a wonderful group of Motherland members and stylists to our Toowoomba conference - and what a morning it was.
Our in-house stylist, Kylie, opened by sharing Cable’s journey: launched at Australian Fashion Week in 2007 as a knitwear label built on beautiful Australian merino, Cable has grown into a brand with seasonal collections, now stocked across 28 boutiques around the country, alongside key David Jones locations.
For our Queensland community, there's also some very exciting news - Cable is just weeks away from opening its first boutique on Hastings Street, Noosa, and can already be found at David Jones Queens Plaza.

Style, Story & a Special Guest
The highlight of the morning was an inspiring session with Kimberly Gardner - stylist extraordinaire with over 30 years of experience, former head stylist at David Jones, and the creative force behind fashion at events including Magic Millions and the Brisbane Fashion Festival. Having grown up on a cattle farm herself, Kimberly brought a rare and refreshing understanding of the lives many of our guests live every day.
Kimberly styled key pieces from Cable's Autumn Winter collection on three real women, showing guests how to build a versatile capsule wardrobe that works across the varied demands of rural life. It was practical, beautiful, and real - exactly the kind of morning we love.

To Steph, Jaine, and the entire Motherland team - thank you. What you are building for rural women across Australia is extraordinary, and we are honoured to stand beside you.
