Choose the return method that suits you best – either by sending your order back to our online warehouse or by returning it in person at one of our stores. For exchanges, visit any Cable store (excluding David Jones concession stores), as online exchanges are not available.

Please note that returns may take up to 7 business days to process from the date your parcel is received at our online warehouse.

Return Timeframes
Australian Online Orders
Eligible items can be returned within 14 days of receipt.

International Online Orders
Eligible items can be returned within 30 days of receipt.

In Store Purchases
Eligible items purchased in store can be returned within 14 days of purchase to any standalone Cable boutique store.

Click & Collect Orders
Click & Collect purchases can be returned within 14 days from the date of collection.

What Can Be Returned
We accept returns on:

  • Full price items
  • Temporary promotional sale items
  • Permanent markdown items
  • Orders purchased using a discount code, promotional code or voucher

Items are eligible for return provided they meet the return conditions below and are not marked as FINAL SALE.

Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed and in original condition
  • Original tags must remain attached
  • Shoes must be returned in their original box
  • Earrings cannot be returned unless faulty due to hygiene reasons

Items marked as FINAL SALE cannot be returned or exchanged unless deemed faulty upon assessment.

FINAL SALE items are clearly identified on the product page, at checkout for online purchases or on the in store receipt.


Online Orders Return Policy
Australian Online Orders
Australian online orders can be returned:

  • By post to our online warehouse
  • In store at any standalone Cable boutique store

Eligible returns can receive a refund or a digital returns card.

International Online Orders
International orders can only be returned by post to our online warehouse. They cannot be returned in store. International returns are eligible for a refund or a digital returns card.

Refund of Duties & Taxes
Upon return of your items, any applicable customs & duties paid at checkout or upon receiving your order will not be refunded by Cable. We recommend contacting your local customs office for information on any possible customs and duties refunds that you may be eligible for within your country. Taxes are refundable and will be refunded at the time of return.

In Store Purchases Delivered to Your Home
Purchases made in store and delivered to your home cannot be returned to the online warehouse. Must be returned to a standalone Cable boutique store within 14 days of receipt.

Returning an Online Order by Post
To return your order by post:

  1. Complete the Returns Form included with your original order
  2. Securely package your item(s)
  3. Include the completed Returns Form inside the parcel
  4. Send your parcel to the returns address below

If you no longer have the form, you can download the domestic returns form and the international returns form.

Please note, customers are responsible for return postage costs for change of mind returns. Cable is not responsible for parcels lost in transit.

In store purchases cannot be returned to the below address and must be taken back to a Cable standalone store.

Returning an Online Order In Store
Australian online orders can also be returned at any standalone Cable boutique store.
To return an online order in store, please bring:

  • Your online order confirmation
  • Your order number
  • The item(s) in original condition

Our stores can process returns for full price items, temporary promotional sale items and permanent markdown items. Returns can be issued as a refund or a digital returns card.

Please note:

  • FINAL SALE items are not eligible for return unless faulty
  • Refunds must be issued back to the original payment method
  • Purchases made in store cannot be returned to the online warehouse
  • Online orders can only be exchanged in store, not online


In Store Returns Policy

Full Price In Store Purchases
Eligible for a refund, exchange or digital returns card.

Sale & Promotional In Store Purchases
Items considered temporary markdowns, temporary promotion, or sale are eligible for exchange or digital returns card. These items are not eligible for a refund unless required under Australian Consumer Law. We encourage customers to try items on in store before purchasing sale items.

    FINAL SALE In Store Purchases
    FINAL SALE items cannot be returned unless deemed faulty upon assessment. You will be notified at the time of purchase and FINAL SALE will also appear on your receipt.

    In Store Purchases Cannot Be Returned Online
    Purchases made in store, including items delivered to your home, cannot be returned to the online warehouse and must be returned in store.


    Discount Codes, Rewards & Voucher Returns
    Items purchased using discount codes, promotional vouchers, Cable Collective rewards and gift cards can still be returned provided they are not marked FINAL SALE and meet all return conditions.

    Cable Collective Rewards
    Please note, reward points earned from purchases are not reversed if an order is returned. Redeemed Cable Collective rewards vouchers are forfeited when an order is returned.

    For example, if a $35 rewards voucher is redeemed on an order and the order is later returned, the original $35 voucher will not be reissued.

    Digital Returns Card
    If you choose to receive a returns card instead of a refund, you have 12 months to use the digital returns card either online or in store. You will receive an email with a digital card number and a four-digit pin, which can be entered at the checkout when shopping online.

    To redeem in store, simply present the digital returns card to a Cable team member to redeem it against your in store purchase.

    If you paid for your order using a digital gift card and choose to get a return card as the preferred refund type, the returns card will be valid for 12 months.


    David Jones & Stockist Purchases
    Purchases made at David Jones concession stores or any Cable stockist must be returned to the original place of purchase and are subject to that retailer’s returns policy.


    Afterpay Returns
    Online orders purchased using Afterpay:

    • Must be returned by post to the online warehouse
    • Are refunded back to the Afterpay account
    • Cannot be returned in store
    • Cannot be exchanged
    • Are not eligible for a digital returns card

    This follows Afterpay’s returns policy.


    Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
    Online Purchases
    If you believe you have received a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, please contact our Customer Care team at info@cablemelbourne.com with your order details, description of the issue and photos, if possible.

    If the item is deemed faulty upon assessment, Cable will arrange return postage for the item(s).

    In Store Purchases
    If the item was purchased in store, we recommend returning to the original store for assessment. If you require further information, please contact our Customer Care team at info@cablemelbourne.com.
