Our Journey Towards Sustainability
We recognise that sustainability requires ongoing progress. We aim to balance quality, responsibility and long term impact as we continue refining how we design, source and operate.
Reducing Textile Waste
Textile waste is a growing challenge across the fashion industry, and we recognise the importance of addressing it responsibly. Our approach begins with considered design and thoughtful buying, creating garments intended to be worn and kept over time.
Where stock can no longer be sold, we work with organisations that help extend the life of wearable garments.
Our initiatives include:
• Partnering with Salvos Stores to redistribute wearable items through their retail network.
• Supporting Ready Set, helping provide quality clothing to people preparing to enter the workforce.
Support Office Recycling Project
Our Support Office recycling program was created to help us better understand what we were throwing away, what could be recycled and how each waste stream was being managed.
To begin, we worked with our waste collection partners to gain a clearer picture of our existing habits and identify the small changes that could deliver the greatest impact.
With these insights, we introduced several new recycling practices across the office, including:
• Collecting and recycling aluminium coffee pods. The aluminium is recovered and reused, while the coffee grounds are diverted to compost.
• Removing individual desk bins and introducing improved centralised bin stations.
• Updating bin signage and adding dedicated cardboard recycling to reduce contamination in co-mingled waste.
• Launching an office wide recycling initiative focused on team education and building better purchasing and recycling habits.
Since the rollout, our recycling rate has increased from 53% in October 2024 to 80.1% in January 2025.
Team response has been strong, and the initiative has sparked broader interest across the business in strengthening our sustainability efforts.
