CABLE Hobart Store Opening Event

On Wednesday 24th July, we had the pleasure of celebrating the opening of our 19th Cable boutique, on busy Collins Street in Hobart.

Nestled within a beautiful heritage listed building, our Hobart boutique is our first in Tasmania, and is a destination that has long been a dream of Cable Founder & Creative Director, Georgie Austin.

“Early on when I started opening Cable stores, Hobart stood out as a destination for the brand. The climate is perfect, and like Melbourne, layers are key, which Cable specialises in. Hobart also has a great tourist population that come in and out and travel around Australia, so I knew it would be a perfect location to showcase the brand.”

For the launch event, we collaborated with Tanya Ellis (@s.and.i.styling), Founder of the Tasmanian Fashion Festival, who showcased her favourite pieces from our upcoming Spring collection.

Notable guests at the event included Ms Galaxy Australia Kimmi Jayne (@ms_galaxy_australia_2024), content creator Brooklyn O’Keefe (@brooklynokeefe), and local business owners.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Steph Trethewey to the event, the founder of our charity partner, Motherland (@motherlandaustralia). Motherland is a national charity that advocates for the emotional wellbeing of rural mothers and delivers services that help build resilience and improve mental health outcomes.
Our catering partner for the event was the lovely team at the Hobart Cancerians, who work tirelessly to raise very important funds for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
